If adventures do not befall a lady in her own village, she must seek them abroad.
Jane Austin
Oh Jane, how wise are your words for a city-at-heart girl trying to survive in the land of no where. Follow my adventures and misadventures at home and in far off lands while I survive as a quasi stay-at-home, university educated, non-mom (and if that isn’t bad enough try dealing with infertility, the nearest Starbucks being 65 km away, and having no one to share my fine appreciation of all things Prada and Balenciaga).
Photographer and graphic artist by day…. daydreamer and consumer of copious amounts of cocktails, chocolate and caffeine by night…
i’m a country girl surviving the city. i dream of a garden, mine. having space and time to pickle and put up in sunny kitchen, also mine. for now, i’ll drive (almost) an hour (traffic) to find dirt, (real dirt) to let son run. every day possible. no matter, rain. and i will thank god i have a starbucks on every other street. i will. (thanks for the perspective).
That addrseses several of my concerns actually.
